Honoring those who have served

Pre-K through 6th graders, faculty, staff and the community joined together on Nov. 9 in honoring those who've served our nation at a special veterans assembly in the high school gym. Nearly 50 local veterans and military service members attended the ceremony.

"The assembly provided an opportunity to truly value our heroes and focus on the meaning of Veterans Day as a larger community," said Elementary Principal Andrea Polikoski. "We had 47 honored vets and military members attending. We are a privileged community."

The assembly will become an annual event, and the school would be honored to welcome more local veterans. To sign up for SNN, click here. Schoharie Elementary's Home - School Connection enewsletter is posted monthly on the Elementary webpage.
