Schools sheltered in place; no credible threat found
Schoharie schools went into a shelter in place at
10:31 a.m. on Nov. 8 due to a non-credible threat written on a high
school classroom wall. State Police were called to investigate and
determined the threat was not credible, and students and staff remained
safe. The shelter in place was lifted at 11:52.
During a shelter in place, students and teachers
remain in their classrooms, with doors locked, and teachers continue
teaching while attendance is taken.
