April 12 shelter in place
On Wednesday, April 12, Schoharie Jr./Sr. High
School and Elementary School went into a shelter in place at
approximately 3:10 p.m. in response to what was determined to be a
non-credible threat written on a bathroom wall in the high school.
The Schoharie County Sheriff’s Department and the
New York State Police were called to investigate the situation. The
shelter in place was lifted at 3:38 p.m.
SNN was sent to all subscribers and a letter from the principals
will be sent home. The event was also communicated via the high school
