Schoharie FBLA brings home the hardware

Schoharie Central School District members of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) brought home top awards from their Feb. 6 District IV Spring Meeting, where the 14 students competed against their peers in written and performance events.

Matthew Faas placed 1st in Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure and 4th in Sports Marketing.

Jedidiah Fox placed 1st in Computer Applications, 2nd in Introduction to Business Communication and 3rd in Introduction to Financial Math.

Carissa Palmatier qualified to move on to the State Leadership Conference (SLC) for Basic Decision Making.

Madeline Phelan placed 5th in both FBLA Principles & Procedures, and Introduction to Business Communication.

Hailey Schwartzmier placed 2nd in Computer Applications and 3rd in Business Communication.

Jackson VanDerwerken placed 4th in Client Service.

The award-winning FBLA members and their advisor, SCS business teacher Jen McClure-Chavez, are now preparing for the State Leadership Conference to be held in April in Rochester, NY.
